Newspaper Pots & Sunflower Seeds

I like plastic pots, they are cheap (free) and do what they're supposed to do for a really long time... however they do need you to remove the plants so you can plant them, this isn't desirable for a few plants and some plants, such as sweet peas do not like their roots disturbed.

You can go and buy expensive peat pots or you can make your own biodegradable pots out of newspaper.
